• PEACE | PASSION | PRESENCE

These three words encapsulate the core of my approach to photography as well as how I endeavor to live my life. I strive to bring an undercurrent of peace to every wedding and portrait session I photograph, so that the focus remains on the love and relations that I've been given the honor to document. I balance this with my tremendous passion for photography which culminates in my desire to produce beautiful and compelling imagery. Presence is the ultimate goal and ingredient, as maintaining a state of heightened awareness enables the observation of subtle details and brief interactions that reveal the inner essence of a person or moment. Philadelphia Engagement Photography – Dao & Sang

This past weekend I had a great time creating Dao and Sang’s engagement photographs at Fairmount Park in Philadelphia.  The weather was simply beautiful for their session, although I’m confident their love would have shined through regardless of the environmental conditions.  My sister-in-law has been one of Dao’s best friends for a long time and will be a bridesmaid in the upcoming wedding.  I’m really looking forward to photographing their traditional Chinese tea ceremony next month, followed by a fabulous garden ceremony and reception at Brandywine Manor House in Honey Brook, PA.  Thanks for a fantastic engagement session Dao and Sang!

Sang - Thanks John for an amazing engagement photo shoot! If this is a brief glimpse of what to expect for our wedding pictures, then consider me a happy customer. I’ve tasted your crack John so now I’m addicted…you sure know your stuff! You made a typically uncomfortable task so easy and the time just flew by. I have to admit, I was nervous but your direction, experience, and confidence really put me at ease. Thanks again!

Ying Chong Liang - Hi John, These images are stunning…and so is the couple. Thank you for letting me come along to the photo shoot. I always learn so much from you. Can’t wait for the big day!

Dao - John,
I couldn’t be more pleased with how our engagement photos turned out. Your photos are phenomenal and you managed to turn the simplest scenes into works of art. Your ability to visualize the scenes that we would have never thought to look and then to capture them on film is pure talent. Amazing! Thank you so much for creating these memories for us. Best of all, it was so easy and comfortable working with you. We look forward to working with you on the bigger day yet, the Wedding!

Scott - These look great. The four C’s. Clean, colorful, composition (is solid) and cute (subjects).

Citizens Bank Park Philadelphia Wedding – Janette & John

Born and raised in Philadelphia, some of my earliest childhood memories are of watching the Phillies on TV or collecting baseball cards of my favorite players.  Needless to say, when Janette and Jon approached me about photographing their wedding at Citizens Bank Park, I was incredibly excited about the opportunity and awaited the day with great anticipation.  The day began at the St. Dorothy Parish in Drexel Hill, which held particular signifigance in that it was where John’s parents were married years earlier.  After their beautiful ceremony, we headed over to the stadium for some photographs around the ballpark, which included a visit from the Philadelphia Phanatic, and a Phillies themed reception that was tremendous fun.

Thank you Janette and John for allowing me to share in your special day.  It was truly an honor to serve as your wedding photographer and I hope you have a wonderful life together.  I also wish to thank my sister-in-law, Ying Chong, for helping me document their special day as my second-shooter.  To see another of my recent weddings click on the catogories above.

Kathleen Smith - Joy, joy, joy!!!!! What a beautiful and happy wedding you two had..

It was a special day for me too, John and Janette, and I am sure for all who were there. Went past the stadium the other day and recalled it all. Happy Lives Forever…Kathy

Newtown PA Engagement Photography – Sara & Corey

Tyler State Park in Newtown, Pennsylvania provided a wonderful backdrop for Sara and Corey’s recent engagement photography session.  It was a fun afternoon, as we had no set plan in regards to specific shooting locations within the park and just wandered about stopping from time to time during our exploration together.  We covered a good amount of ground within the park and also visited the nearby Bucks County Community College campus.  This resulted in a nice variety of images that document their deep love and affection for each other.  I’m very much looking forward to their upcoming wedding at Lucien’s Manor in Berlin, New Jersey in October.  Thanks for a marvelous afternoon Sara and Corey!
